Les Loving His New Clubs!
Les Standford the lucky winner of our summer membership draw can be seen with his fully custom fitted set of Cleveland CG16 irons.
The clubs were set slightly more upright to help Les get the most out of his natural swing, which is a slice. Les has seen instant results winning the last 3 weeks of his Sunday roll up. Les had this to say on the whole experience ‘I never realized the importance of custom fitting until I went and got fitted, the team at Cleveland were fantastic and thanks to this I am hitting the ball straighter than ever before. October Medal!
Sunday 10/10/11
The October medal was one of the busiest seen all year and easily the busiest on a Sunday! The conditions on the day were very favourable considering we are now approaching mid-October and the Autumn conditions. Division one belonged to Martin Bower who shot a fantastic nett 63 to beat Steve Lau by three shots. In division two Steven Fidoe playing in his first competition since joining us from Swindon GC also shot a 63 nett to beat Louis Edwards by four.

It must also be mentioned how fantastic the greens were, considering Deer Park were deep tined on Friday morning. They were very quick and rolling very true we really are so lucky to have such great, highly trained greens staff at CMGC!

Andrew Broadly (pictured) has turned his game around thanks to some great advice from the staff in our pro shop. Andy has seen his handicap cut by three in the last two weeks with scores of a nett 66 in presidents day and 21 points in the Wednesday night roll up. The sudden surge in his great scores in simple PUTTING as he will explain.
‘I have been hitting the ball well for the last two months now, however once on the greens I was all over the place, I first spoke to Matt and Dave in the pro shop who advised me on a selection of putters to try. I immediately fell in love with the Cleveland blade, Tim then made sure the length was correct for me and that was that. I would like the thank all the lads for their great service, and heres to some more low scores.
